Hotpoint
SwmdHello All,
We have a washer machine its a hotpoint ultima s-line 9kg. Model number swmd9637 uk and the drum bearings are failing.
I was advised that the whole drum needs to be replaced and looking on various youtube videos that the bearings can be replaced separately. But Im unsure on this model if they can.
Can anyone advise on this..?
Kind regards
Mick

Hi. The best way is to go to a spares site and see if they sell just bearings and seals or complete drums. If it's old it might not be worth fixing and if the bearings have been noisy for a long time or the drum can be lifted up and down on the shaft then the bearing may have collapsed or the drum spider worn or broken. Replacing drum bearings is a big job with potential complications.
