Hi there

I noticed after I moved in the washing machine that came with the purchase was taking hours to do some cycles. After researching I can see its buggared but setting 8 does a good 45 minute wash however the temperature is scolding. Weirdly enough no colours are running and I mix colours. Image print doesn't come off really either.

My plumber friend opened the cold supply to full as it was half open and hasn't changed the temperature.

Anyone had this before and it may not just be the temperature part. The whole thing sounds scrambled!

Hello there. What wash cycle is getting very hot? If a modern washing machine overheats then it should abort the programme, called the washing machine down, and display an error code. So if it isn't doing that then the implication is that it is not overheating. Some wash cycle temperatures are obviously very hot even 50° is very hot to touch. But if it is actually boiling the water and getting it way too hot but not aborting them this would be very difficult fault to find.

Also when you say it is taking hours to do some cycles, does that mean that it does actually finish and switch off at the end? And also if it seems to be stuck for a long time, what exactly is it doing when it appears to be stuck?

Unfortunately it’s not easy to deal with something like this. It probably needs someone to look at it.

If a cycle has finished but then drum turns back and forth indefinitely that’s usually crease guard that can be switched off.

If cycle finishes and laundry is hot that’s often because it’s rinsing in hot water due to being connected wrong at plumbing - though it can be also caused by overheating and aborting the cycle missing out the rinses. In the latter case an error code would be displayed or if no display certain lights would indicate the error.

Check this article to look into the laundry coming out hot fault

Hi Andy

Cycle 8 is 45(Sun Symbol) ready to wear. It comes out steaming like I've just boiled rice and to the touch if I held it on my hand id need to run it under water to avoid skin burns.

My machine doesn't have a display to display an error code. Yes I have seen all flashing lights instead on other cycles.

I went to sleep once for a few hours and they don't complete. They continue with a stupid left right slow spin at the last light lol.

The other cycles don't seem to make it past the first initial spins anymore.
