Bosch Serie 6 Not locking
Bosch Washer Serie 6
The machine is not locking, when I closed the door I can hear just a click sound. I bought a new lock mechanism from Bosh, fitted it and still having the same issue. Any ideas suggestions/ideas/solutions? Thanks in advance for the help!

Bosch Serie 6 washer not locking after door lock replacement
- The problem
- The Bosch Serie 6 washing machine would not lock the door. When the door was closed, only a click could be heard. The owner had already fitted a new Bosch door lock mechanism but the fault remained.
- Likely cause
- Most likely an electronic control fault rather than the door lock itself, provided the door closes properly and the door latch is not damaged. The accepted reply suggested a PCB-related issue, possibly involving a relay, diode, resistor or a connection fault, but no exact component failure was confirmed.
- What fixed it
- No confirmed DIY repair was provided. The accepted advice was not to replace the PCB speculatively because of cost and uncertainty, and to have the machine checked by an engineer.
- Checks to try
- Door closes properly
- Door latch on the door mechanism is not faulty
- Door lock mechanism was replaced with a new Bosch part
- Parts or tools mentioned
- New Bosch door lock mechanism
Safety: Further diagnosis should be carried out by a suitably qualified appliance engineer.

Hello Victor. If the door closes properly, and there is nothing wrong with the latch on the door mechanism, and you have replaced the door lock, then the implication is that there is some electronic problem with the PCB. Unfortunately, I cannot advise speculatively replacing such an expensive part as there is no guarantee it would fix the issue. You've already experienced the disappointment and wasted time and expense of fitting a new part in the hope that it will fix the problem, and you would not want to compound your problems by buying an expensive PCB.
It could be a fault on a relay, all some diode or resistor, or even a connection issue. I would recommend that you need an engineer.
