Heatpump
I'm looking to buy a new dryer washing machine and there are some dryer/washers with heatpump out there. These are quite expensive so I'm curious if it's worth the money?

Hi. We’ve had two. But I think we would probably buy a normal one next time. My wife hates them because they take so long to dry. The point of them is that they hardly use any electricity - but with the consequence of taking twice as long.
They can take over 4 hours to dry towels. Having said that, ours is in a cold garage which isn’t ideal as they don’t work effectively in cold area.
I would say if cost is highly important then consider one but if they are a few hundred pounds more expensive to buy it’s going to take years to start saving money although these days it’s a lot quicker to recoup money due to the high cost of electricity.
Ideally, read what Which? have to say about them
