LG top load front control model # W1201CW
Had this a few years and we had to replace the stabilizers once in about 4 years. Just my wife and I and we probably do 3 loads a week on average. It's been a couple years now and I am starting to get the uneven load error notification. I have reviewed the manual and I am fairly mechanical. My problem is I don't want to replace these every 3 years going forward. When it was new we did not get the error notification at all or little it was not noticeable, now it is more frequent. Big load unit, but we try to keep our loads to @ 1/2 full.
Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks. Brian

LG W1201CW showing uneven load errors on small washes
- The problem
- LG top load front control washing machine W1201CW was increasingly showing an uneven load error. The owner had previously replaced the stabilisers once after about four years and was concerned they might need repeated replacement. Typical use was around three washes a week, often about half full.
- Likely cause
- The strongest supported diagnosis is load distribution rather than a confirmed mechanical fault. The accepted reply stated that half loads are more likely to go uneven, especially when heavy and light items are mixed, and that an uneven load error usually indicates the wash was not balanced rather than a fault with the machine.
- What fixed it
- Try washing fuller loads and avoid small mixed loads where a few heavy items can offset lighter items. No confirmed evidence in the discussion shows that further parts replacement was required, and the exact repair was not documented.
- Checks to try
- Reviewed the manual
- Noted the error is more frequent on about half-full loads
- Previous stabilisers had been replaced once

Hi. Half loads are much more likely to be uneven. I‘d recommend trying to wash fuller loads. Uneven load error is not usually a fault. Its usually just saying the load was uneven. Small loads, especially with a mix of heavy and light laundry can be difficult for the washing machine to distribute evenly around the drum.
A heavy item such as couple of towels or a sheet or thick cotton item can unbalanced the drum if the items opposite it are lighter and less absorbent.
