Any Miele will do. The cheapest one is made just as well as the more expensive ones and you can get the basic model for around £480 usually. It's just a question of what features you can do without. The basic Miele spins at 1200 and has a 5kg drum, if that's adequate it's a great machine. I currently have the W 3740 and it's great - a Mid-priced Miele (1400 spin and 6 kg drum) Miele W 3740 review

Thank you. In the UK, the W 3740 is roughly twice the price as the Bosch WAE24465. It should last twice as long or potentially more than twice as long, but I wouldn't argue with anyone who would prefer to spend half the money on a Bosch WAE24465. It's a good washing machine and it has a 7Kg drum (if you need such a large drum). If other priorities mean you can't spend that much then something like a Bosch is still a good machine, and if it lasts half as long it's arguably just as good value for money as it's half the cost.

A Miele isn't just about longevity though, it's also about how quiet and smooth they are and other refineries. The Miele isn't for everyone because of the higher investment cost, but if money is no object I wouldn't buy anything else.

Thanks for the reply great website, unfortunately the W3740 works out at €1250 where i am. Im beginging to wonder is it worth buying a Miele for the cost when i could buy a Bosch WAE24465 with a 6 yr guarantee and then another one after that if the first one went.

Just afraid to splash out on a Miele and have problems with it after a couple of years for double the price of a Bosch. Just wondering what are your views on this?
