I not sure what the part is called exactly but one of the plastic paddles inside the drum keeps falling out. It will lock in to place securely but then after one or two washes will come loose midcycle. Even replacing the part has not solved the problem.

Hotpoint WMA32P drum paddle/lifter repeatedly coming loose

The problem
One of the plastic paddles inside the drum repeatedly locks into place but comes loose again after one or two washes, sometimes mid-cycle. Replacing the paddle did not cure the issue.
Likely cause
The accepted reply states that on later Hotpoint WMA models the drum paddles, referred to by Hotpoint as lifters, often work loose and can come off altogether. It also notes that washing trainers is reputed to damage drum lifters, but this was not confirmed for this machine.
What fixed it
The accepted advice was to replace the drum lifter. The method described was to insert a small screwdriver into one of the holes, press down gently and slide the lifter out. However, as the original poster had already replaced the part and no confirmed successful repair was posted, the exact remedy for this machine was not confirmed.

The plastic paddles in the drum on the later Hotpoint washing machines (WMA models) often come loose and come off altogether. They can be replaced. Hotpoint call them lifters. You usually insert a small screwdriver down one of the holes (I think it's the 3rd one on Hotpoint) and gently press down while sliding the lifter out.

There were at least 3 types of drum lifter for Hotpoint but these days there are loads more .

NOTE:

Washing trainers in a washing machine is reputed to damage the drum lifters and paddles inside the drum, particularly on lower quality washing machines.
