My washing machine has got stuck mid cycle half full of water, with the ready and prewash buttons flashing, Ive tried turning it off at the wall, holding down the start button, but nothing seems to happen. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

If it's half full of water maybe the pump is blocked which has triggered the error. It could be something else but generally errors trigger an abort, and part of the abort sequence is to drain the water out before turning off. It's worth following this article to try and drain the water and then check the pump and filter for blockages http://www.whitegoodshelp.co.uk/washing-machine-wont-drain-water/
