Washing machine doesn't finish wash

Hi I have a Hoover vision tech, it start of washing then quarter way through it stops and says E16. Is it possible if u tell me what's wrong with washing machine

I don't have E16 but it could be related to the heater or NTC or heating circuit in the pcb if it's stopping on the wash cycle where it should be heating the water.
