Hi all, just want to say thanks in advance for your help!! I have a LG wm2016cw front load washer, it went out of balance big time and found out it was a broken spider arm, so I replace the spider arm and while I was at it I also bought and replaced all new shocks, springs and door boot. It still goes out of balance, have no idea why. It sits on anti-vibration rubber feet I bought.. Is that a bad idea??? Was thinking of taking them off, thought maybe that's the problem, also was thinking of getting 3/4 inch plywood to put under it floor is a little spongy?? I don't know what else I could replace in it. Thanks again for your time!!! Ron

Being out of balance is a separate issue to something like a broken spider arm. Out of balance is when the outer drum swings violently and hits the side of the casing or jumps up and thumps the lid. It's normally caused by unbalanced loads although a fault could cause it. Anti vibration feet should be OK although normally unnecessary. What exactly is it doing when it goes "out of balance"?

It sounds like it could be a classic case of unbalanced load, possibly under-loading. Try these two articles

Washing machine jumps and bangs on spin

Thanks for getting back to me!! When it goes out of balance the machine rocks from side to side pretty good and sometimes knocks, without the ant-vibration feet on it, it will walk. I've got it as close to level as I can. It sits on a wooden floor, I've heard its better on concrete but I don't have that option. What I usually do is pause the load, that stops the drum from spinning and start it again clothes get re-aligned. It just seems to me I shouldn't have this problem?? Its my first front load washer, so am I over analyzing this, do most front loaders do this?? Thanks again!
