LG WASHER CUTS OUT

Hi

I have a LG washing machine F1443kds which keeps cutting out on power

its error code is PF (power failure)

it takes a few mins after switching off before it comes back on

but it doesn't blow a fuse or trip a breaker

its a direct drive with smart diagnosis I let it talk to the phone via the app but just says power failure

It started cutting out during different points of the wash cycle

now I have narrowed it down to the fact it is just cutting out after about 5 mins even if I just turn on the power

all the graphics and sounds work fine all the programs work fine

I am now thinking the pcb ? But not sure

thanks for any help

Have you tried it in a different wall socket first just in case?

It's not too common but you can get main pcb failing.Another possibility could be a fault on the mains suppressor or capacitor but again it's not something I would advise looking at. Let us know if you get an engineer out what it is.

look like that's what's got to happen

the washer is like new and it has a good capacity 11kg

have you heard of this problem before?

Thanks

It could be a fault in the pcb but not guaranteed so it would be too risky to try fitting one. If it's a poor connection somewhere you risk it burning out or even catching fire if left plugged in. I would get an engineer in.

An update

I switched the power on to the Washing machine it took 4 minutes to power off

then after about a minute I can switch it on again

timed it again and it was just over 2 mins

so it seem that if the machine is cold it stays on longer

does it sound like a faulty component on the pcb?

thanks
