Broken seal found inside drum after wash cycle

Hi
I put on some towels to wash and when I got them out, I found the attached rubber seal (looks like one) inside the drum. I don't know where items come from on the machine, anyone have any ideas where? I thought it could have been a duct gasket. It's about 14/15 inches long.
My machine is an LG F1403RD6

There is usually a duct at the top of the door seal where the steam from the dryer section is blown into the drum.
