I've also had this kind of fault with a loose chassis on the main casing of the washing machine. I've known parts of the chassis to have developed cracks or some of the spot welding come loose. Another possibility is an issue with one of the feet. The main method of troubleshooting this type of issue is to disconnect the washing machine from the mains and to physically start pressing it in certain ways and directions to try and emulate movement. It may even be necessary to take off the lid and start pushing and shaking on the inner drum. See if you can recreate the sound and then locate where it is coming from.

Hello - things to check , hope this helps:

one of the shock absorber/struts attached to drum (could be loose or worn)

Bra wire stuck in between outer and inner drum

Pump making noise (maybe something caught in propellers of pump)

Loose wire(s) tapping on outer drum or outer metal casing of machine when spinning

Worn carbon brush on one side (or both carbon brushes) if its a motor that uses carbon bushes (induction motors don't)

coin(s) or other piece of metal stuck between the (blue or gray) plastic paddle(s) in drum

thats all I can think of at the moment of the popular things that cause rattles/tapping noise
