Washing machine noisy when using powder
Hello everyone!
We have recently started using washing powder in our machine (Bosch Classixx 6 1400 Express) and have noticed that it makes a loud 'groaning' sound at various points of the cycle that seems to come from the detergent tray. This only happens if we use powder.
Can anyone help?
Thanks!
Jon.

To be honest I can't think of any possible explanation for that. There is nothing that happens in the washing machine differently when using detergent powder as opposed to using liquid detergent. The only difference I can think of is that if using liquid detergent there is often a flap inside the soap drawer to hold back the liquid detergent and stop it running straight down into the machine before water is flushed into the compartment. This flap is normally removed in some way in order to use powdered detergent.
The washing machine itself doesn't do anything differently whatsoever. The only problem I could imagine regarding using a different type of detergent as if by any chance it is causing excessive forming although I wouldn't associate that with making any noise. Have you tried opening the dispenser drawer during this noise to see if you can see anything?
