Good Morning

I have a Miele Premier 520

I have had it since 2007 and recently it tripped the electrics. I also have a husband who is an engineer and he dismantled it and took the motor out and changed the carbon brushes. He put it back together again and it tripped the electrics again. He then realized that it was the heater. He has found some details as to the model number which he has given to me to search on the internet for a heater element. However the model number W552 does not appear to exist.

I have been without a washer for a week and I wondered if someone could help me either find the correct model number or the heater element I need.

Kind Regards

Hello Hilary. Usually when you can't match up a model number on a manufactures website or a spares site it is because the proper model number is different to the one you are trying to enter. This often happens if people use the model number that's written on the Control Panel or instruction manual which can sometimes not be the full model number. So the first thing to ask is are you putting in the model number that is written on the rating plate, which is usually inside the door. You should be able to find the rating plate sticker easily enough, but just in case I have an article giving general advice about how to find the serial number on a white goods appliance.

Having said all that, I've just checked on the Whitegoodshelp appliance spares site and it seems to be listing quite a lot of parts for it. Miele spare parts are not cheap though - Spare parts list for Miele W552
