New WTGB20M1W squeaky drum
New to forum, new washer. Our old 9XL Beko gave good service so in haste have bought a smaller (reduced need) machine without a lot of research. But this machine is squeaky when the drum begins to turn and I think the drum feels quite stiff to turn. Might this loosen up with time or should we consider returning the machine? The machine is on a level surface, has neither been over-loaded nor under-loaded. Can you give any advice please?
Many thanks in anticipation,
H

Is the lip of the drum catching on the back of the door seal? Have a good look and check all around the door seal close to the drum.

Make sure there isn’t some polystyrene packaging left inside. There is sometimes polystyrene blocks packed inside as part of the transit packing. You also need to take the back and lid off after disconnecting from the mains and just locate where the noise is coming from. That’s all an engineer would do. Get access to it and move things around until it makes the noise and use ears and eyes to locate it.
If it makes the noise when drum turns take the belt off to see if it’s coming from the drum or motor

Super hubby took out the transit bolts as per instructions. Could there possibly be any other?
Has the transit packaging been removed?

Thanks Andy but I don't think so. If I bounce the drum a little I can make it squeak. Sounds more underneath the drum in the front, if that makes any sense at all.
