New door interlock fitted but door does not lock

My Hotpoint washer drier WDAL 8640 P door would not open and handle also broke. I replaced the handle and the interlock, but now it does not lock. The machine seems to know that the door is shut, but after a few seconds delay where I presume it is checking if the door has locked, the lock light starts flashing and a beeping alarm sounds. The door is not locking. Any suggestions?

The power should come from the main PCB so normally you’d need the check continuity between all door lock connectors and the PCB. It’s possible the PCB is faulty but I wouldn’t recommend replacing it. They are very expensive and there’s no guarantee with them. You could try sending it to QER repairs if not prepared to give up but you’ve tried the normal diy friendly things.

There seems to be no power getting to the interlock. I have checked with the connector to the interlock disconnected and there is no power across any of the 3 pins before or after starting a wash program. The machine starts beeping as soon as the start button is pushed.
