Hotpoint door won't lock

Hi my hotpoint door won't lock. I need something to stick the inner lock to the washing machine other wise it just falls out when I try to shut the door.

If it doesn't use screws it must clip in place. You would push the square bit through and then slide it (possibly to the right) to click it into position.

It won't click into place maybe something is broken or maybe I'm doing it wrong? Is there a specific way it fits in? How can I tell if its broken. Its a hotpoint wmbf 742 Thats for the reply Andy

How was it taken off? Maybe it got broken then? As far as I remember you need to push the entrance section into the square in the casing and path it over to the left. The place the door lock flat against the casing and push it to the left to lock it in place.
