Hello Alan. Water is supposed to be taken in during drying although not normally into the soap dispenser drawer. It normally goes straight into the condenser chamber at the back. Are the clothes coming out warm and wet?

Is the water coming in at the front like it does on wash and rinse or is it trickling at the back? As I said water should be going in on drying cycles as that’s how the steam is condensed but it should only go into the large plastic condenser chamber at the back.

If it’s suddenly started taking in water from the normal water valve it’s a weird fault. Does this article help Laundry hot and steamy on drying cycle

Yes water is coming in through soap dispenser drawer and the clothes are coming out wet and warm.
