change the bearings on a hotpoint aquarius aqxxl129pi washing machine
I have a hotpoint aquarius aqxxl129pi washing machine and I'm trying to change the bearings but I can't find them for this version online. Does anyone know where I can get them or failing that know the sizes please? Many thanks Terry

Hi. If you can’t find them they probably aren’t available. Sadly, many washing machines are now fitted with unrepairable drums. The whole outer drum needs replacing or sometimes just the rear half. If the bearings aren’t available then neither will the tub seal or the seal that stops water getting into the bearings so sourcing equivalent bearings from elsewhere is pointless. If you can’t see these parts on Ransom spares you would have to scrap the machine or fit the expensive complete drum.

Hi. Good luck but if any water has got into the drum bearings it will be pointless replacing them without a new drum bearing seal. 99% of the time drum bearings have failed it is because water has leaked into them. Replacing bearings without replacing seals is not an option for me. I haven't seen drum bearings that have actually worn out for well over 20 years, they all get water in them.

Thanks for the advice, I already know that some drums are not supposed to be opened but it can be done and they have repaired theirs this way...cut to I've managed to separate the drum now so surely there must be one out there that fits, if it's been done once already additionally I would guess that this isn't the only washing machine fitted with this size.
