Cycle normal but clothes still wet

I have a year old beko washing machine (WTB820E1W). It runs the cycle normally and spins at the end but the clothes come out wetter than they should. If I then do an extra spin and drain cycle the clothes come out as they should. Why is this happening? I've checked the filter, hoses and even cleared the drain pump but still no change. Please help! Very frustrating!

If the laundry hasn't had enough water extracted from the spin first thing is to doublecheck it is on the correct wash cycle that has the full spin at the end. Some wash cycles will not do the fast spin at the end. In fact only the cottons wash cycle usually does.

If it is definitely on a wash cycle that has the fastest spin at the end then if the laundry is uneven or out of balance the washing machine may never reach full spin speed, or it may only spin at top speed for a short time before abandoning it - Won't spin one item or small loads

The only other thing I can think of is a partial blockage in the drain hose or at the U bend under the sink (if it drains into there) that is just restricting the rate of water flow out of the pump enough to interfere with water extraction which is rectified after the second spin (Can't find a blockage but washing machine still not draining properly).

Thank you. I have removed all the hoses and checked they're clear, checked the filter, and cleared the drain pump. If nothing else I'm now educated on where everything is in a washing machine!

I can only say that if it’s spinning normally and for the normal amount of time then unless there’s a partial blockage somewhere restricting how fast the water can pump out there’s no there’s no other explanation I can think of.

Watch it carefully when it goes into the final spin. If there’s a lot of soap detergent being thrown around when it first goes into spin that’s a sign it’s not draining properly or fast enough.

Does it sound totally normal on spin? If it’s making a crackling or creating sound it could be the motor brushes are worn (if fitted)

Thank you for your response. I checked all you suggested and still no change. I did a longer wash and that worked fine. I just find it weird that the clothes were coming out normally with the previous cycle and now it's not. But appreciate you taking the time to give your advice
