WMUD843 MAIN PCB module connections

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me with this; my Hotpoint machine suddenly went totally dead and a repair guy decided it was the main controlling module. I found one (already programmed) on Ebay and went to install it but I made a classic mistake - although I marked all he connectors I didn't realize that on one side there were three connector strips on the PCB but only two plugs, and my marking wasn't precise enough. The small plugs are blue and red (maybe different on other units) , the blue is definitely on one side, but the red could fit both other connections, the set of tracks in the middle or the one at the other end (see attached pic). Unfortunately my marking is a bit doubtful.

Can anyone advise? Many thanks

Too late now I know but always take photos with yer phone. Lesson learnt 😊

Take off the plastic cover and look carefully at the solder lines on the connections. Ideally there should be marks on 2 of them where the connectors have been for a long time and the unused one should be unmarked.

Hi. No you can’t get circuit diagrams they are only available to engineers at great cost.

Hi,

Things looked fine, the display is responding but the machine does not start the cycle.

It could still be something wrong with the second hand board (and I shall check the connectors are well in), but in case it's a power relay is it possible to find a circuit diagram and the location of the various bits anywhere?

Online so far I can only find the instruction manual which is not much use.

Any suggestions?

Many thanks

Thank you Andy, things are simple when you have the experience; it tweeted to me, now the difficult bit, to push the machine back into place!

Very grateful, I already had pressures to get a new one! 😉

All the best

Ric
