Can I use a platform or pedestal to raise height of washing machine?

My wife and I have narrowed the huge array of options for washing machines to Miele. This is mainly for the reliability, water and power efficiency of the machines.

My wife is concerned that as we are getting a bit older and that the machines are designed for at least 20 years life expectancy, how do we raise the machine to ease the stress on our ageing bones and muscles.

Is it possible to do, will it affect the warrantee?

Thanks for that useful link. Unfortunately a picture isn't available (and it's not cheap) but it claims to raise the washing machine by 5 cm (about 2 inches) It doesn't seem much but it might make a bigger difference than you'd expect. It should hold the washing machine securely and safely. I would take James' advice and telephone Miele about it as they are usually very helpful.

I now have a topic on this subject on my main Whitegoodshelp site - Raise a washing machine off the floor
