Adding soundproofing under integrated washing machine
hey all!
ive tried to show in the photos below how the washing machine is installed. Can anyone recommend some kind of sound proofing to go underneath? it can be loud and vibrat-y and a neighbour (below me) has mentioned.
thanks!

Hi. You can definitely buy specially designed products for reducing washing machine noise. Yours looks strangely fitted with what looks like sections cut away for the feet. That would make the noise worse as there’s less floor between it and the flat below.
You might need to fill in those spaces unless they were done to reduce the height of the washer in order for it to fit although the feet will screw in a lot further.
If you search google for - noise reduction feet washing machine - you should find some good options.

Hi. No I’ve never needed them. I’d fill the holes and then put down a noise absorbing mat or feet or even both.

hey Andy thanks a lot for the response!
no there is definitely space above so im unsure why it wasnt put on the extra floor!
so I think adding the extra wood flooring below and some noise reduction washing machine feet should help.. are there any of these you have used before or can recommend?
thanks!
