Washing just one garment in a machine
how do you successfully wash 1 item in a 9kg drum washing machine so it can slop around the drum as the drum revolves. I would have thought the paddles of the drum would 'lift' / scoop up the garment to the top of the drum and let it fall back to the bottom of the drum (hence why they call them also drum lifters) - but all that seems to happen most of the time is that the drum revolves and the paddles just go under the garment (which in this instance is a padded outdoor jacket) and the jacket just rides over the paddles suspended in the water. - apart from putting in more clothes at the same time what more can a person do?

Hi Andy. I think that's why you're not supposed to wash just one item, especially in such a large drum. You need to wash as much laundry as you can to fill up that massive drum. Is it something that has to be washed on its own?

oh it did sparkling - I still would have been more satisfying to see it lift to the top of the drum and fall down a few times though through the cycle rather than it just wallowing in a pool of water
Did it come out clean? That’s main thing 😊

well, no the biggest reason for washing just the coat was because I didn't have any other washing to do lol ☺️
apart from that I thought you were supposed to clean stuff like coats etc on their own no?
