Logik L712WM13 problem

Hi I have a logik L712WM13 washing machine that is showing e21 error code, I know this code is a drain problem , so I've checked for blockages in the, outlet, pump, pressure pipe and tube. I've checked for leaks in these parts also all ok. I've fitted a new pump, pressure switch and brushes in the motor also tried the 2 litre of water reset trick for the pressure switch all to no avail, when I do this the water pumps out. I'm completely stumped to what else the problem might be.

Thanks in advance for any insight to what it might be

Hi Kev. When the washer is full of water and you put it onto a spin or drain cycle, does the pump run?

It's a difficult fault to fix without a proper test insulation meter and a supply of spare parts to try replacing without gambling money.

When you first start a wash cycle it's only suppose to pump out for 30 seconds or so and then start to fill with water.

If there was a problem with the water supply or the water valves it should stop and not start the cycle but the pump would surely stop running when it started to fill with water.

Also, if the pressure system was blocked it might not fill with water and the pump might keep running to try and get rid of the phantom water, but disconnecting the pressure tube would remove the blocked pressure system problem and it hasn't.

OK so there's nothing wrong with the pressure system or pump. If there's no float switch in the base stuck on the problem is likely to be with the software running the cycle. Maybe a fault on the pcb or the chip. Or some weird electrical fault. I wouldn't advise trying to replace anything else. It's way too risky.

You can get some strange behavior with insulation faults too.

Sorry Andy missed that one. There's no base with switch also no obvious leaks

Hi Andy it's doing the same either way pipe on or off, the pump is pumping (gurgling away out of the pipe) because its empty the timer clock stays on 14 minutes untill the error comes up

Also, if you carefully disconnect the pressure tube from the pressure switch and then put the washing machine on spin only, does it spin?

Does it have solid Base with a float switch to detect leaks in it by any chance?

Cheers Andy on spin only the pump is working but nothing is coming out because its empty of water but doesn't spin and the timer stays on 14 minutes untill the e21 error comes up

Cheers Kev. So it sounds like the fault is that it isn't filling with water? And there's nothing wrong with the pump, but it's sticking leaving the pump running?

What happens if you put it on a spin only cycle?

It pumps out the water if i put it in through the draw no problem. But if I start a cycle it pumps out what's left as normal then it usually let's water in the starts turning which it isn't it then stays at that point pumping untill the error comes

Hi. Im a little confused, as you say it pumps out OK but it stops when it should fill up. If its. It filling up that's a very different fault to a drain fault.

Regardless of the error that is being displayed is it draining then stopping or sroppi g full of water and not draining?

Yes the pump works fine when i put water in manually it pumps it out at full bore then gets to the the bit where it should let water in but doesn't it seems to be stuck at that point the after 5/6 minutes the e21 code comes up
