Metal wire sticking out of one of the holes in the drum

Hi everyone,

been hearing some metal clanging in the washing machine when it runs and when i had a look there’s a wire sticking out of one of the holes in the drum. Pulled it out a bit more before realising its probably coming from inside the machine as opposed to one of us leaving something in the wash that shouldn’t be there.

Picture attaches. Any suggestions on what it could be?

Thanks!

Hi. That looks like an underwire from a bra. Pull it out.

That was a lucky escape. If it had gone fully under the drum it may have needed stripping down or it may have jammed the pump.

Think it was. Pulled out and machine working fine now.

Thanks!
