Service Info Available?

Have just come across this very useful web site - brilliant idea, Washerhelp! Please can you tell me if service manual/circuit diagram/sequence chart are available for the ISE-C1555WH, where they can be obtained, and the approximate cost? I normally do my own appliance servicing, so this is quite important to me if I'm going to buy one!

Best wishes, Martyn

I doubt any manufacturer is ever likely to release repair manuals to the public. They only supply them to the trade these days on DVD's which they have to rent indefinitely (not cheap) or through secure web sites they have to subscribe to. However, of all the washing machines you can buy, I can't see any other people giving better support for diy repairs than the ISE. They are all engineers themselves and the main reason they decided on the ISE project was because washing machines are becoming less and less repairable, spare parts are getting extortionate in price and more and more manufacturers are withholding technical information.

One of the main concepts behind the ISE washing machine is that it should be repairable. The people behind it are all experienced engineers who had become so fed up with the lack of technical information and extortionately high spare parts prices on the majority of washing machines that they decided to market one themselves.

Other problems that they seek to alleviate are washing machines that are difficult to work on, washing machines that need an entire new tub or rear half just because the Bearings need replacing, and washing machines where agents paid to fix them under guarantee are paid a pittance.

The result is the ISE. You should easily be able to obtain spare parts, and they should be more reasonably priced than many other washing machines.

Hi There, I am also used to doing my own repairs/servicing, can you tell me if I opted for the 1 year labour and 5 years parts would there be a problem obtaining any parts required in the latter 4 years.

Cheers
