Won't Repair Washer Without Proof Of Purchase
Moved into a new built shared ownership flat on 17th March 2012. Kitchen fully fitted with new appliances. The BEKO washing machine stopped whilst on a washing programme, all of the lights on the panel went out as if the electric supply had been cut off. Water remained in the drum.It would not reset as per the manual instructions and will not turn on.
When I contacted BEKO customer services to ask for a repair under guarantee they refused to inform their local agent as I did not have a receipt for the washer and I did not know who had supplied the machine.I assume it was a firm subcontracted by the developer.I found their customer service team most unhelpful.I had registered the machine online for their guarantee when we moved in. Any ideas on the fault.

You need some proof of purchase before a manufacturer will fix something under guarantee. If you bought or rent the flat from an agent or company they are the ones you bought the appliances from and responsible under consumer law for getting it fixed. They should arrange for Beko to call or at least give you proof of purchase. If you bought or rent from a private person it's less straight forward.
Need Professional Help or Spare Parts?
Got in touch with the developer who told me the name of the suppliers for the white goods.(DBD Trade). They have contacted BEKO who have instructed a repair company,(B & R Services) to come out.Due to long holiday not until Friday the 8th June.I saw the same fault as mine reported on another forum, but not the reason why it might have occured.
Thanks.
