Drum Seized Up Won't Turn
Seeking help/ advice -- we have just inherited a Creda excel 1200 washing machine today. Hadnt been used for over a year. Transported on its side. Upon connecting and running - filled ok and attempted to turn - moved about 10 degrees, emptied ok. tried again -- the same.
Couldnt rotate drum from inside, checked back of drum - drive belt had come loose -- motor working, still couldnt rotate drum by using the spider.
There is an obviuos rotational splash on the inside cover not sure this is from oil or is rust.
I would appriate any feedback about the possible fault and how to repair (is it a seized bearing?)
Unable to relocate the belt -- does this motor have an adjustable mounting?

You won't be able to fit the belt without being able to turn the drum. A totally seized up drum like this is unusual if presumably it was OK previously. As there's no water in an unused machine - especially high up where the bearings are it's hard to imagine it getting seized just by being left a year.
Maybe a coin or something has become dislodged during transit and jammed the drum from inside the tub? If you can't free it off from the front where you can get more leverage by using the drum paddles then it's going to need stripping down which is a big job. It's got to be either an obstruction or a completely seized up drum bearing.
