Bosch W/m Erratic Heating On Different Wash Programmes

I own a Bosch washing machine WAA28160GB/04 and for a while the washer has been either heating the water to boiling point or not warm enough for the wash or just cold. The 40C wash would boil and the 30c wash would be nearly cold. The heating of the water would be erratic depending on the program. I naturally thought the fault was with the thermostat of which I have recently replaced. The water heating is not as erratic as before but the washes are still too hot or too cold for the program.

Could this be a fault with the PCB or some other component?

I would get an engineer out for this one. It could be a pcb issue or maybe something else. I definitely wouldn't buy a pcb, they are expensive and you can't send them back if it doesn't cure the fault.
