Metal Filter In Sump Hose (Iwde12)

My washing machine developed a leak. On inspection it looked like the leak was from the sump hose. Took the sump hose out and found a mangled metal filter.
I am unable to find where this metal filter came from.
Any help identifying this metal filter would be great.

Can you load a photo up? There is an icon on the second bar of the text box to load a pic.

I don't recognise it but if it definitely hasn't been introduced into the machine somehow it then presumably maybe a coin or some other obstruction has caused it to mangle up and come off. It does look strangely familiar in a way.
