Zannussi Zwf 1421 - Stiff Drum
I think i maybe posted this in n wrong forum so here goes again.....My machine - Zannussi zwf 1421 has become very noisy when on the spin and recently has stopped before the full cycle has finished and beeps (doesn't do this normally.If it does spin, it is making a lot of rattling/banging noises. Just noticed that the drum is difficult to turn by hand. The machine is about 7 years old. Any ideas as to what this is and whether it's worth getting repaired or not? Thanks.

It sounds like drum bearings may have gone, especially if it's been rumbling for a while. They may have collapsed or seized up. Will be expensive if so. Sadly, 7 years is the average lifespan of these machines now.

Does it have a belt? if so, is the drum still very stiff if you remove the belt?
