Hi all, hope all well.

I have a hoover dyn9144dg washing machine that I've had for 3 years. It has all of a sudden stopped working and I have been getting error message e01 and also the lock door light stays flashing.

I thought maybe the door lock sensor may have gone so replaced the door lock. I now get error message e02 and the odd e01 and the door lock light still flashing. Because of the above problem the washing machine does not start at all.

Any help or advice appreciated.

Many thanks

E1 on Hoover's used to mean something to do with timing out on fill or empty but on more modern machines it's been related to the door interlock. Assuming it is announcing a door interlock problem and you've replaced it then unless the new one is faulty (highly unlikely) or you've somehow just not quite fitted it right the fault may not be the interlock. It could be that the door catch is not activating it properly when closed because the catch is worn, or damaged, or the door has dropped too much or even the door seal isn't seated properly and preventing it closing properly. Other than that it could be connection faults or even a fault with the pcb circuit somewhere.
