Bosch Exxcel7 Fault F21 F63 - To Repair Or Not To Repair
Hello,
we have a 7 year old Bosch EXXCEL 7. Fot the last few weeks the machine started to move during the spin cycle. Now, the machine first showed fault F21, which I reset, and then fault F63. As it is 7 years old I am wondering if I am better off buying a new washing machine instead of having it repaired. Just getting somebody out to look at it will cost around £65. Does anybody have an idea if the 'moving' of the machine and then the faults f21 and f63 are likely a serious repair?
Thanks,
Ren

Sadly the average life of a washing machine these days is generally quoted at seven years. But of course to be seven years there must be plenty that last longer because I know for a fact that many don't last even as long as seven years - How long should a washing machine last?
As someone who's been in the business for well over 30 years it still seems far too short but things have changed. Bosch washing machines are pretty cheap to buy and remarkably decent for the price. They are not designed to last anywhere near as long as Bosch washing machines from the 80s and 90s.
Of course if it isn't going to cost much more than £65 it may be worth repairing but none of the error codes I have for Bosch go anywhere near as high as F21 nevermind F63 so unfortunately I can't even give a clue as to how serious it could be.
