Hoover Quattro 1300 Washer Dryer- No Heat To Washer Or Dryer

I am finding that there is no hot water during any wash cycle and no hot air during the drying cycle. It appears the heating system is in someway faulty.

Can you tell me the cause of this and what sort of cost I am looking at for replacement parts?

The tumble dryer part works inependantly from the washing machine and has its own heater. The chances of both the washing machine heater, and the tumble dryer heater being faulty are pretty slim.

Read this section ( Washing machine isn't heating up the water ) and try to decide if the heater on the washing machine is working or not.

If the dryer isn't heating, the most common cause is one of the TOC's or stats. These are on top of the tub and are little devices (usually 2 or 3) with just 2 wires. If one has a small plastic rod in the middle (common with Hoover and candy) it is resettable and if you press it down and it clicks it has reset. However, if it trips again there must be a reason that should be investigated.

If the wash program is washing, then rinsing and spinning, and all in the same time it normally takes, and presumably the clothes come out clean then there shouldn't be any fault. If the heater isn't working, an old washing machine will stick on wash and have to be moved on, or washing machines made in the last 10 years or so should abort the program after it times out on heat. I have reset the rod on the dryer and that seems to have resolved the dryer issue.

However, the washer continues to produce cold water only, or at least it appears that way. I have read the document you added and because the cycle completes ok without any problems, it would suggest that the heater is probably ok- can you confirm?
