Hoover Washer Dryer Not Heating On Tumble Dry
My dryer is not heating. I called out an repair specialist and he told me that all it was, was an overheat trip switch. Could you please tell me where to find the trip switch under the top of the washing machine, as all it took was a couple of moments for him to do (that quick that I never seen the trip). As it has since happend again and I don't want to pay an expensive callout fee.

It should be a small round device with 2 wires on it and with a small plastic rod in the middle. The whole thing in not much bigger than a 1p coin in circumferance. If it's tripped it will click when you press it in. Most TOC's are not resettable, they are one shot devices (thermal fuses) They should never be left by-passed.
Sometimes these TOC's trip intermittently after a heavy session or for no apparent reason. If you can reset it do so, but if it does it again not long after there may be a fault somewhere.
With some Hoover washer dryers, a build up of fluff and lint in the black hose at the back of the washing machine (leading from the consdenser to the tub) can repeatedly cause the dyers TOC to trip out because of a design flaw (in my opinion) that allows it to get trapped.
