Hello. My washing machine is about 3 years old and have been making a lot of noise when spinning for the last few weeks. During the last wash it also smelled of burned rubber and I found bits of rubber on my washing and by the seal where water drains but I don't think it came from the door seal. What could be the problem. Is it something easy/ worth repairing ?

A burnt rubber smell and small bits of rubber in the laundry are usually caused by the spinning drum catching on the door seal. Examine the back of the door seal close to the drum very carefully all the way around the drum. Also spin the drum hard by hand, can you really catching?
