It's likely to be cheaper to get Hoover to fix it under their parts guarantee. To be honest I'd be tempted to buy a new machine. The average life expectancy of a modern washing machine (unless it's a Miele) is said to be about 7 years. If money is pretty tight at the moment with it being after Christmas etc. it is definitely the cheapest option. But if you're going to spend £203 with only a guarantee of 12 months I would think for an extra hundred pounds or so you could get a brand-new machine. That sounds like a much better option unless there is really no money available at the moment.
