Solution Summary

AI-generated from this discussion

This thread was marked as solved. Here's a summary of the problem and the fix, generated from the discussion below.

Hoover Ecoligic has no user-accessible filter; blockage likely in pump or hoses

The problem
The Hoover Ecoligic washing machine was repeatedly blocking and the owner wanted to know where the filter was.
Likely cause
The accepted reply states there is no filter on this Hoover Ecoligic model. If it is blocking and not emptying, the blockage is likely in the pump, the sump hose leading to the pump, or the drain hose.
What fixed it
No filter location can be given because this model does not have one. The recommended action was to check the pump, sump hose and drain hose for blockage. The pump was described as being at the bottom of the drain hose at the back.
Checks to try
  • Confirmed by accepted answer that there is no filter on a Hoover Ecoligic washing machine
  • Blocking/not emptying likely points to a blockage in the pump
  • Check the sump hose leading to the pump
  • Check the drain hose
  • Pump located at the bottom of the drain hose at the back

Safety: Further diagnosis should be carried out by a suitably qualified appliance engineer.

There isn't a filter on a Hoover ecologic washing machine. If it's getting blocked (and not emptying the water) then the blockage must be in the pump itself or in the sump hose leading to it - or in the drain hose. All these can easily be found on a Hoover. The pump is just at the bottom of the drain hose at the back.
