Hello. Error codes implicating the temperature sensor (or NTC) often say things like, "NTC or module, check connections". The Hoover Nextra range uses, "NTC/Heater fault". So an error rarely implicates a specific part that is definitely the cause - which is a great shame. If it worked for a bit then failed I would very carefully check connections. There's always a possibility of a pcb fault, which I would advise against dealing with.

OK. You can buy a multimeter continuity test meter for just several pounds.

Thanks for the reply I don not have eny testing equipment to do it with Will have to get some one in to take a look Thanks for all the help

By open circuit I mean there is no reading when you test a component. So for example if you put one probe on each of a heating element’s connections the readings are the same as when both probes on the continuity test meter are not touching. In other words there is no circuit (open circuit).

Hi Andy thanks for your reply ( sorry for not replying sonner ) The machine is doing this on every selection we use Ie on the 59 mixed cycle it stops with 35 minutes left gos to error code On drain and spin which is 9 minutes long it stops with 5 minutes left same error
regards graham
Yes the main PCB, not the control panel. Exactly when does it produce the error? That may provide a clue. Put it on a 40 degree cottons wash and write down everything it does, and time everything up until the error.
For example when the error triggers what exactly was it doing? Was it 10 mins into a wash and turning the drum back and forth, or was it 40 mins in and draining the water away? Could you hear the water heating up?
