My kenwood washing machine is making a grumbling - rattling noise when filling and draining water ? the machine fills and drains ok but with a grumble - rattle noise ?. I checked the filter and found metal hair clips / curbees in there so cleaned all out and machine still making this noise ? Does this mean the pump drain filter needs replaced ? Thanks in advance.

Hi. Draining water uses the pump and filling with water uses the water valves. There isn't anything that should be able to cause the same noise on both functions. Is it making this noise when filling or emptying?

If it's when filling up though the drum and motor could be turning too, and even a redistribution pump could be running, all of which could account for a noise. When draining water the drum and motor also usually turn so they can account for noise.
