Hoover Dynamic Next Washing Machine.
Hi. This Washing Machine has decided to play up. It keeps changing settings all the time and we can't use the machine. I have tried all the usual turning off at mains etc without any luck. It's the LCD display red light that keeps changing time and other settings. It won't remain on one setting.
If it's a repair person that is needed so be it. Probably cheaper to replace it.
Kind regards Denn

AI-generated from this discussion
This thread was marked as solved. Here's a summary of the problem and the fix, generated from the discussion below.
Hoover Dynamic Next washing machine changing settings by itself
- The problem
- The Hoover Dynamic Next washing machine’s LCD display/red light was continually changing the time and other programme settings, so the selected setting would not stay on one option and the machine could not be used.
- Likely cause
- The accepted reply suggested either a connection problem or a fault on the PCB and/or display panel. A supply issue from the socket, including a possible earth fault, was mentioned as a less likely possibility.
- What fixed it
- No confirmed DIY repair was provided. The only suggested check was to try the machine on another socket to rule out an unusual supply fault. As the accepted advice stated this was not a DIY job, further diagnosis should be carried out by a suitably qualified appliance engineer.
- Checks to try
- Power cycled at the mains without success
- Try another socket to rule out a supply fault
Safety: Do not bypass any electrical safety features. Further diagnosis should be carried out by a suitably qualified appliance engineer.

Definitely not a diy job. Could be a connection problem or a fault on the PCB and/or display panel. Apart from trying another socket just in case of a weird supply fault but that’s pretty much a long shot. Earth faults at the socket have been known to cause weird faults.
