LG Washing machine is so noisy!
So I’ve bought a LG AI DD V3 F4V309WSE 9 kg 1400 Spin Washing Machine from curry’s a couple of weeks ago
the first time I used it, it rattled like hell! Yes I took the bolts out and look levelled before use. No I have to have it on a slow 800/1000 spin so it doesn’t rattle or make a racket! I’ve spoken to LG who are no help. I’m just wondering if the drum is faulty? Or are the LG washing machines all like this? I had one years ago and it was ultra quiet!
please help!

This thread was marked as solved. Here's a summary of the problem and the fix, generated from the discussion below.
LG AI DD V3 F4V309WSE noisy and vibrating on spin
- The problem
- A recently purchased LG AI DD V3 F4V309WSE 9kg 1400 spin washing machine was reported to rattle heavily on first use and be noisy enough that the owner limited spin speed to 800/1000rpm. The owner stated the transit bolts had been removed and the machine had been levelled.
- Likely cause
- The strongest supported explanation in the discussion is normal vibration caused by the wash load, particularly heavier or unbalanced items such as towels, sheets or jeans. One reply also suggested the machine might not be perfectly level, but the owner said they had checked level front-to-back and side-to-side.
- What fixed it
- No clear repair was confirmed. Advice in the thread was to verify the machine is fully level in both directions with a spirit level. As the video showed a full drum of clothes, the most supported diagnosis was that load type and distribution were causing the vibration rather than a confirmed drum fault. The exact repair was not confirmed.
- Checks to try
- Transit bolts removed
- Machine checked level front-to-back
- Machine checked level side-to-side
- Video showed the drum was full of clothes during the noisy spin
- Parts or tools mentioned
- Spirit level
- Laser level

Hi. What is in the drum on the video?
It’s definitely vibrating a lot. To be honest it looks like it’s not really level.
Unfortunately it’s very difficult to ensure it’s totally level with it being under a worktop. It should be level from front to back and side to side and checked with a spirit level but with a worktop above it you can’t really get a spirit level on the top.

If there was nothing inside the drum by the way then there is definitely a problem. There should be no vibration at all without laundry inside the drum.

Hi Andy, thanks for the reply. The drum is full of clothes. And the washing machine is level. Ive put a leave on the front. For front to back. And on the side. I’ve put a laser level on the top too, to gage the level on the top. All perfect
Hello there. Depending on what laundry is inside that looks quite normal. It doesn't move around any more than my high-quality Miele washing machine. Washing machine will move around and vibrate at different levels and rates depending on what's inside. Usually sheets or towels, or loads that contain one or two towels or jeans etc will cause the most vibration.
