Hi, I have a Hoover hbwdo8514tahc-80 washing machine that has stopped working and displays an error I can't see any reference to anywhere in the book or on the web!

When selecting any cycle (wash or dry) it starts draining, then I hear it fill but can't see water in the drum then I hear the drain gurgle like it's draining and it just stops with an error that is eeo, picture attached...

I have checked and cleaned the filter, taken to top off and see that all pipes are connected, any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Not sure what that display is supposed to be. It’s neither number nor letter is it?

Hoover tend to user letters and numbers for error codes like E03 so yours can’t even be looked up because it’s gobbledygook. Maybe something’s gone wrong with the control panel and/or the PCB.

I’d look into the Hoover parts guarantee as many have 5 or 10 year parts guarantees though unfortunately the labour cost is likely to be around £100. But at least Hoover may quote you a fixed price repair.

Thanks, I did check and I'm in luck and have 3 months left on the 5yr parts guarantee...

Although I left it unplugged all night and day today and that has seemed to reset it, so it works again. But I guess it's only a matter of time ..
