Hoover wdyn 9646pg-30s shut down after 15 sec

It work if I just start it as fast as I can when powering up.

It is working now.

But if I just turn it on it just shut down as if it loos power.

When I press power again I hear a click and when I again press power it turns on.

Then if I do not start any program, it shut down after about 15 seconds.

Some times if I try to start a program it get hanging in a flashing mode so that power light and program light is flashing.

Only way is then to pull the power plugg.

But it is now washing and I now wait to see if the drying program will start after washing program.

I measured the voltage and it is fine.

But I will try to get power from another outlet to see if it helps.

If anyone have had this problem or something similarly

then please let me know.

It could be a relay problem in the pcb but that’s just a guess.

Anyone know what relay in the pcb I need to get?

Is there only one relay in the pcb?

Am I to just listen to the machine, to find out what relay is clicking?

If the clicking is coming from the pcb it could be a relay but if it’s clicking it shows it is working - unless there is a connection fault or maybe it doesn’t stay activated.

But you can’t buy any parts for a washing machine pcb at all. Only a complete pcb at great expense. Some of them even need programming. I would not get involved in speculatively changing parts.

If I just power it up it shut down and dies after about 15 seconds.

Then when I power on it click and lights up but again dies and shut down after about 15 seconds.

But if I start a program as quick as possible before it dies/shut down

it work perfect.

Both washing and drying program work and is stay alive after the program is done.

But then after power off, its the same problem.

Can it still be low voltage ?

Or a damaged relay?

Whats going on?

Hello there. Unfortunately this is an extremely weird fault and not really suitable for DIY repairs. An engineer looking at something like this that was still under guarantee may well try replacing the control panel, and or the PCB. This may, or may not fix it, but at least an engineer would be able to order the parts without it costing them money. For you to order parts like this would be a very big gamble indeed and not to be recommended.

I can't see how it could be low-voltage because low voltage would prevent it from working at all. Maybe for some reason when you first switch it on it is doing some self checks, as computers often do, and maybe it is failing some check and shutting down. At the end of the day you just can't fix something like this without access to parts, and technical information.

I have a seriously low water pressure to the washing machine.

Can that have anything to do with my problem?

With water pressure that’s too low, a washing machine will try to fill, the drum may turn several times, but eventually time out with an error code that indicates a water supply problem. This error code is often something like E1 or H20 (as in H 2 O for water).

Low water pressure would take much longer than 15 seconds to time out with an error, and if water pressure is so low it causes a fault it couldn’t possibly work OK when you start the cycle quickly.

I never get a error code after 15 sec.

It just shut down.

When I press the power button out , then I hear a click from it.

Then when I power on it again stay live about 15 sec , and then shut down dead,

if I do not start a program. But I have to start a program fast because if I am to slow it just dies.

No error codes.

Sometimes it freak out and start flicker on panel.

Then I need to cut the power cord.

Then it is the same again.

Crazy..........

Yes it looks like one of those false that you are not likely to be able to repair yourself. It could be a problem with the PCB, although the control panel, or both, or a connection fault between them. But even something else. Faults like this need an engineer.
