Beko WTL94151B power cycling on and off and clicking noise

Hi There,

At a bit of a loss - we bought a new BEKO WTL94151B about 3-4 weeks ago

as of last night it started making a weird clicking noise , like the door lock is constantly trying to lock. I shut the door thinking that was the issue and it went off, clicking stopped.

today the machine powered up for a second then dies. I used the manual release to unlock the door. When we put the power back on then it starts up, then turns off then on again, doing this constantly - at the same time the door lock is constantly clicking.

I guess its a faulty machine - but no idea if its a software fix or its a new machine?

any advice would be great

thanks

Hello there. The only things you could try is plugging the washing machine into a completely different wall socket, and making sure that the door seal is fitted securely around the door rim. The former could cause problems due to a power supply problem and the latter could prevent the door latch mechanism from activating the door lock properly. But other than that yes it must be a fault that needs looking at. Please let us know how you get on. It's very unusual for a new washing machine to break down so soon.

Thanks for the update. Yes it’s very unusual and disappointing for it to have failed so soon.

Just an update - Beko engineer attended this afternoon - had to replace two components, one was a capacitor and the other was a PCB.

he suggested one caused the other, but unsure why it happened. I asked if it was unusual for a 3 week old machine to need two components replacing, he said he had never seen a new range go after 3 weeks

anyway its all fixed now - im a little nervous with a new machine needing new parts straight away..........
